Being a mother is a noble calling, indeed.  But it isn't always easy.  In fact, sometimes, maybe many times, it's hard!  And because of that, it can be easy as a mother to fall into slumps in life.  It can feel like cleaning, cooking, chauffeuring,  coloring pages and SOMETHING SOMETHING.  And in these slumps, comfort zone activities may seem like a way out; activities like Facebook, TV, a good book, or whatever helps you escape.  The problem for me is, I either do none of these activities, or do too much of them.  Thus, the rut.

I often felt I was the only one that had this problem  but as it turns out, it's fairly normal.  Normal as it might be, it really doesn't always leave me feeling like a winner.  So, I've decided to create a place where mothers, in a rut or not, can come to find ideas to entertain the kids, keep organized  be healthy, have fun, and find balance in their life.

Here's some fo the things we'll be exploring:

A Good Book
In moderation, a good book can be a fun, relaxing escape from the mundane.  But everyone has different tastes.  We’ll gather synopses and reviews to help everyone find something they might like.

Crafts for the Kids
Young kids love crafts.  And for those long days that just don’t seem to end, they can be a great way to keep the little ones occupied and help you have fun with them.  Come here for ideas or to share ideas that have worked for you.

Field Trip
Every kid can tell you, the best day at school is field trip day.  We’ll try and plan a field trip once a month for anyone that wants to attend.  And who wouldn’t?

Girl’s Night
Cyndi Lauper was on to something!  Come unwind with the ladies, once a month, the 4th Thursday of every month.

Mom’s Lunch
Kids like food that’s tasty and quick.  But just because they have PB&J for lunch doesn’t mean you have to.  A monthly potluck of sorts can help.  Mom's pack a sack lunch for your kiddo(s) and enjoy a nice lunch.  Come here for details for the latest time and place.
